We hope you all had amazing mid-winter breaks. It was awesome seeing everyone back on campus today, and we're very much looking forward to the rest of the year!
Next, a huge congratulations is in order for Kristian Escano and Mya Wong who are this week's Students of the Week! Kristian was nominated for incredible hard work and dedication in preparation for this Saturday's Wearable Arts Show at Key City Public Theater and Mya was nominated for doing an outstanding job creating an epic mind-map when writing her proposal for an ecology project (which was consequently the best paper in the class!).
From the elementary front, this Thursday we'll be celebrating Read Across America Day throughout the day in all P-5 classes. For this, students and staff are encouraged to sport their finest reading attire (ie pajamas) and come ready for fun!

Lastly, this week's Weekly Update has several important components, including an invitation to this Thursday's PBIS Engagement Night for all parents of students in grades K-8 (dinner, gift bags, and childcare will be provided), the poster for the above mentioned wearable arts show, a volunteer opportunity for high school students to serve as umpires for little league, and upcoming events.
