Educational Programs & Operations Levy Facts
Levy Thank you
Our Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) levy provides an essential investment in our students by providing staff and programs to better protect, serve and prepare our students for a successful future.

An Educational Programs & Operations (EP&O) Levy is a tax against assessed property in a school district.  These taxes help provide funding the state does not cover such as the maintenance of current building structures, underfunded transportation expenses, underfunded food service expenses, items such as the purchase of curriculum & technology, expenses for extra-curricular activities such as athletics or clubs, additional counseling support, additional support for Elementary, CTE and Music/Arts, school garden, preschool program, and underfunded technology support.

In April 2024, the replacement EP&O Levy was approved by the Quilcene voters for the years 2025 - 2028 at a rate of approximately $1.35 per $1,000 of assessed value. The current rate for 2025 is $1.41 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The increase in the actual rate from the approved estimated rate was due to 2025 actual property assessed values being less than what was projected.  The current levy is due to expire on December 31, 2028.

We thank you for your continued support.
