I am excited to be returning to Quilcene School District for another year and this time as the Kindergarten teacher.
Originally from Anderson, CA I moved to Quilcene when my father, Percy Dodson, become the US Fish Hatchery manager in 1962. I graduated with class of 1972. I raised three children in Quilcene and now have eight grandchildren 7 who live here and one in Puyallup. I graduated from St. Martin’s University with a BA in Special Education and Elementary Education and earned a BS from Antioch University Seattle Campus in Systems and Management. For the past twenty-five years I have been employed in social services and have worked with parents, relatives and children of all ages. I have worked for WA State government, four tribal governments, a private hospital and several private social service agencies and worked in several school districts in both Washington and Alaska.
This will be my seventh year as a QSD employee in a variety of roles including Discipline officer, Middle School and High School Special Education, and 6th grade Social Studies and Science and the last two years in second grade. I am so excited to be teaching Kindergarten and think we are going to have a fun year!
