Hello Rangers!
I would like your feedback on my work. The survey is based on my evaluation criteria, and I would like as many people as possible - students, staff, parents, and community members - to let me know how I am doing.

Dear Ranger Families,
Earlier this month we announced that we were able to return to almost all spring events and activities, the majority of which could not take place last school year. We’ve now had several successful events, including National Honor Society (NHS) Induction, Jr/Sr Banquet, and HS Prom. During each event, Jefferson County Department of Health (JCDH) guidance was followed. For all future events, JCDH guidance will continue to be followed.
I now want to take another minute to update you on upcoming events:
Each year, Quilcene students are collectively awarded over $100,000 in local scholarships on this night. Featuring representatives from several local and regional groups, families are highly encouraged to attend. This event will be live-streamed.
Hosted by the churches of our community, the annual senior baccalaureate serves as an opportunity for the greater congregations to celebrate the achievements of graduating students.
If one event sums up what truly makes our school so special, that event is the annual “Walk of
Fame.” After putting on their robes and caps for the first time, graduating seniors proudly walk through the elementary school while students in grades K-5 cheer them on. This event will be live-streamed.
Having passionately worked on exciting science projects for weeks, the celebration will begin at 4:00 pm with a public viewing of the final projects. At 5:00 pm, the class will transition to the football field to celebrate each student’s promotion to high school. This event will be livestreamed.
Due to Covid-19, we were unable to hold a kindergarten graduation last year. Consequently, this year’s event will feature both Kindergarten and First Grade Students. For this,
Kindergarten will be elaborately dressed in gold robes & caps while first grade students will be in purple. Families are highly encouraged to attend. This event will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
The Quilcene Class of 2021 will be using the permanent bleachers for seating and as a stage. Quilcene faculty will be seated in ceremonial robes and hoods on one side of the bleachers while the board of directors and speakers will be seated on the other. Seating will be limited, and each graduating senior has been given an allotment of tickets for the event. This event will be live-streamed for those unable to attend in person.
Field Day: Books, Blankets, & Burgers- 11:30 am on June 14th on the Athletic Fields
This year’s Field Day starts with a focus on the importance of summer literacy. Parents of students in grades K-6 are invited to attend a free picnic lunch that will begin at 11:30 am, at which point we’ll be having many books available for parents (free of charge) along with literacy information. At 12:30 pm, students and guests will transition to our annual Field Day.
Lastly, we will continue to be proactive in communication through our Weekly Virtual Open Houses each Monday as well as by providing updates on our website, Class Dojo, and Remind. However, if you ever have questions please don’t hesitate to email or call myself or our school office.
Thank you and GO RANGERS,
